SILICONE Impression putty (1kilo) Currently out of stock

Silicone putty is a new compound mixed by hand at 1-1 ratio, very little shrinkage and high temperature resistant (300ºC) with a high tensile strength, completely FOOD SAFE ideal for small moulds.
Available In Fast (green de-mould 7mins) or Medium (blue de-mould 30mins)
Can be used with low melt metals, wax, baking, chocolate, ice cubes, resins, concrete, plaster etc.
Used in wide range of applications, fast mould impressions for almost any surface, orthotics/orthopedic, equine hoof repair and jewellery making.

ALGINATE fast set Chromatic impression material (500g sachets)polyester resin

Dental grade alginate impression material, with handy measuring scoop, used to take very quick impressions of masters, plugs, body parts, face etc, of which a plaster replica can be cast, enabling moulds to be made in various materials using the plaster replica as a master.
From mixing to setting time is approx 2 minutes, colour changes occur indicating setting stages.  (price click)

Slabs of rubber requires heating to 170ºC and is then poured over the plug, setting as it cools. A double skin pan or similar principle is needed to avoid overheating when melting. Air bubbles will appear on the rubber surface if moisture is in the plug, prior sealing with polyurethane varnish is recommended.
Moulds no longer required can be cut up, melted and re-used again.

RTV SILICONE RUBBER, RTV134.

This blend of high quality silicone has been specially developed to enable the home user to make moulds of a very high quality.
With Shore A hardness of 23 the rubber has a high tear strength and elongation.
Catalyst  addition 2-5%, the cure time can be varied by the amount of catalyst added, i.e. slower at 2% and fastest at 5%.
Suitable for various materials including Polyester resin, wax, polyurethane, and plaster type casting.

Also available is a Thixotropic additive added at a rate of  1-3% to rubber to attain a Butter-on consistency, ideal in cases where the plug is fixed (ceilings, church walls etc)

CASING PLASTER

Fine casting plaster, mix ratio of 1.2 to 1.4kgs powder to 1 litre water...sets in approx 10 minutes and can be de-moulded around 30 minutes.
Available in 1 kilo bags or 25kg sacks.
